Weibang pro bbc

I've had this mower for exactly 1 year just had its first service. I have being using mowers of all types for the last 27 years and without doubt this mower is the best one I've had. It's great in the dry and wet never drops a drop. Any other users got any comments? Just as a add on Hayter are bringing out a new 19inch model with a new grass box, looks like they are worried

  • I would have to second this. Only started using it this year but it is definitely the best mower I have personally owned. It is a touch heavy for the odd waterlogged garden, but I carry an Etesia duocut also and so just get that out for those. The collection on the Weibang is on par with mowers that use a plastic box to collect the grass, and far outperforms any other mower I've used with a canvas bag collection system. It is fast, extremely well made and has an unrivaled 3 year warranty. I couldn't be happier with it so far.

  • I saw the Weibang at Saltex last week and have arranged a demo, prob next year now. looks very well built although I've no knowledge of the Kawasaki engine. My only concern is that the 21" model doesn't appear to have a blade brake function and I cant imagine a pro mower without it.

    • Weibang at the moment can't get a bbc for the 21" that will last the warranty period .. that's the problem at the moment. On new models they have fitted a hour clock on on handle bar what a brilliant idea.
  • .....it does look incredibly heavy though............ is it really practical for smaller domestic lawns?  My Masport weighs nearly 20kg less.

    • That was my exact concern before I bought it and so went along to a dealer and had a bit of a play with one. Probably 80% of my work is small-medium domestic work and I have only found it to be an issue if a garden is really squelchy underfoot. Having said that, I would not want to be getting it up and down steps and that kind of thing frequently through a day but I barely have any jobs that require that. It's probably not for everyone, but I'm very glad I bought one.

It is a classic situation of no one mower suits every garden/weather/location etc.

You need a 'toolbox' of equipment and the skill is to select the right one to deliver the best result at that point in time (even if it's not the result you'd want).

Small lawns/Wet/Lack of turning room/Heavy (roller) mower will cause you more customer issues than backing off using a light 4 wheeler to get the core job done.

        • lawn cutting about finished here especially if the weather stays this vile, on the horrid soaking little lawns easily damaged i would probably use my bosch 43cm cordless as only weighs about 15kg, or maybe viking cordless which weighs a bit more, probably not much actual grass to take off but hoovers up the leaves and makes it look altogether better

It is good to hear this Ken, I looked at Weibang mowers a couple of months ago and they really look strong and well made! It’s good that the machine has worked well for you, it looks like I will be buying one next year.

    • Roy you will not be disappointed as I said great mower. I use a scaffold board to run it into van as it's heavy
  • i got a pro 56 can not fault it
