Waterproof jacket

Can anyone recommend a good half- length waterproof and breathable jacket for Autumn use.I've got a good warm and waterproof coat for winter but it's too warm for now.The construction industry wear is ok but not breathable and as soon as you start working , you sweat like a pig.Any suggestions please?

    I use a surplus RAF goretex jacket it hasn't got a hood but hard wearing three ply goretex for £35 new can't be beaten.
    It's blue do doesn't look military and has a zip out warm liner. Have had two with matching trousers I love them and as I cut grass mostly if it is really chucking down I am at home so the hood is not a deal breaker. You could always buy a hat!
