Hello, we're about to lay a terrace using Harvest Sawn Sandstone and I'm torn over whether to apply a bond-bridge to the back to protect it from stains....Being a light toned and thin paver (25mm) I think a slurry primer could be a good way to prevent any staining (from the mortar beneath). However, this stone is quite pristine and I want to keep the pavers as clean as possible when laying them....as many of you will know, having SBR involved inevitably makes this harder...We've done numerous bond-bridges with various materials in the past, but on those occasions the primer was applied wet and just before the pavers were laid, which can get tricky.....perhaps we can get the back of each paver primed, let the slurry dry, then lay the pavers without the risk of any gloop getting everywhere?Would I be correct to assume the waterproof slurry still works when allowed to dry, but perhaps the additional bonding qualities of the slurry are lost/diminished?Perhaps others have used this particular stone on mortar and I don't need to worry with a waterproof primer? All feedback is appreciated.Cheers.Sam.
