Tree removal

Hi good folks of this forum. Have this tree to take down to stump level, will be ground out later on.

So wondering how much you'd charge, I have a figure in mind as will take away brash to local green waste tip which will be a 15 mile round trip and expect to get it two trailers load which would be 45 min round trip + £10 at tip. Will be keeping logs for fire. Wires from telegraph pole not an issue .

Cheers

Ben

    How big is your trailer?
Is there not a big bonfire being built nearby?
    • Only small 6x4 and this will be December to be done .

That will be way more than 2 trailer loads IMO.
I would price for 3 trips with my 14 by 6.6 trailer for that to be safe.
It will create loads of brash!
  • I really think that's a job for a tree surgeon with a chipper................. there's just too much material to dispose of, to make it economic.

That's the thing isn't it. I would not get near that price due to the nature of the job and equipment I have.
      • When I had a look into it it looked pretty sparse inside so might not produce that much brash , so lets say 3 trailers, allow 3 hours and then would envisage 2 hours for on site work so £150 not so far out. Are you saying Richard you'd be wanting more, not sure ?

Lots of variables Ben. Very location dependent for one. My overhead is probably higher than yours. I'm not short of work. It would be a nasty job in my experience.
So in a nutshell yes I'd want more which is why I would not get it probably:)
Oh and it will make loads of brash so don't underprice it for your own sanity!!
          • Ah see what you're saying , it's 2 miles from home so nice and local and given my experience it will be very easy to take down, just wanted to see if the figure I'd be happy with is in line with rest of industry  .

  • Ben I think with the size of trailer you will have about ten loads or more. plus conifer dos weigh a lot

    • My PLI covers me to 5m high on trees so no problem here and as it's a multi trunked tree will nibble away at it rather than felling in one.

Hear what you're saying re kerb weight, trailer can carry up to 544KG's but doubt given the bulk of the brash doubt would reach that.Rest of the wood is destined for my wood burner and I'm only two miles away so a few trips with that not a problem.
