Two post-war office buildings in Hampshire have been given Grade II-listed status by English Heritage.

Mountbatten House, formerly Gateway House and its roof gardens, The Hanging Gardens of Basingstoke, have both been recognised.

The gardens have been classified as an historic park and garden.

IBM Pilot Head Office in Cosham, Portsmouth, now known as Lynx House, has also been recognised for its innovative design.

Built between 1970 and 1971, it was designed by Foster Associates.

Arup and Associates, led by Peter Foggo, designed Mountbatten House which was built between 1974 and 1976.
