Sub Contracting off the big boys

Unless you are a big boy yourself, I guess this doesn't apply to you, but if you in remote areas of the UK, there are possible opportunities available to you.Large companies use large companies as a general rule, ie Tesco's will use a national grounds maintenance firm, they will never bother with Bond Enviro...but the national grounds maintenance firm usually contract out. Where I live, there are sites, especially Wyevale where the grass is cut once a month...it can be shin high at times...that is either because the NGMF, travel 70+ miles to do it themselves (and at what cost), or they get a contractor in, who they take on, usually by a single call. I have got a number of jobs from just a call, where they have been desperate... Now, it is worth finding out how and who does kind of grounds maintenance and if they are not a local company, then there is an opportunity because they may be charging the client £25per hour, if you can negotiate a suitable price and guarantee good work, you will be matching their profit margin on the job....without their hassle.
