Strimming cord help?

Hi,This may seem like a daft question but just got a new Strimmer and unlike my old one the way to put the cord in the spool is different. In my last one the cord was cut into two separate lines and placed in the holes and then wrapped round. However on the new Strimmer the cord is one piece tied round both sections of the spool. How do you fix the cord into place on this one?

It may push through the middle in a hole that does not look obvious at first.
Look for the hole that you would normally put one piece in and try pushing it through the middle. I've got one like this. Or there could be s break in the in between bit that you jam the line in halfway down your piece of line and then wrap this into the 2 channels. First idea more likely though.
    Hope that helps

It depends as there are a great many ways. However mine has a small "notch" cut out in the reel. I hook the centre point if the cable over that and wind clockwise (I think) both "sides" of the cable round and round in their seperate sections . Then hook the ends into two more notches on the outside, slide over the top pull the cable through the apertures clip onto the strimmer. Cut to size set her going and it automatically feeds through with a bang on the ground.

My second choice and the same as Andys. Put the middle of your line in the notch in the middle ridge. Wind into both channels and secure in the two notches on the edge. Put in strimmer head and remove from the notches and feed in to the holes to the outside of the whole head assembly

Yep, yours is the same different make but same principle. Hook, wind, and secure. At a rough guess yours is an auto feed. When it's out of string a bit will come out as designed. It works honest!
  • Try one of these 'Load & Go' bump heads, makes like a lot simpler..

Line in the centre, wind on, done... simples!3314732059?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024
