Probably a moth e.g Oak Eggar, Fox Moth, Elephant Hawk Moth or Poplar Hawk Moth, all very large

I think it's a Puss Moth.
Yep it's definitely a Puss Moth. They can rear up & the spots on their bodies look like eyes. Totally harmless & the moth is beautiful.
