  • SH is for shredder. Has a shredding facility on the fan, which you don't get with the BG and the vacuum attachment.

Better value if you need the vacuum kit.

  • went and bought 1 today from andover garden machinery £206 + vat, nice bit of kit

  • both can suck and shred bg is plastic impeller and sh has a metal impeller

  • I'm looking at getting an SH86 to pick up and shred leaves which we have blown in to piles with our BR600. Normally we just bag them up into builders bag, does anyone else do this or is it simply too time consuming trying to get the SH86 to collect and shred. On some jobs we can take away 4 builders bags per week!

Also could the SH86 shred straight into a builders bag or does it specifically need its own bag attached?

  • always found vacuuming time consuming as you seem to empty the bag every few minutes.

if using builders bags  put it on its side and stand on the bottom corners tuck the top loops in the back of your belt and rake the leaves in filled in a couple of minutes

  • Thanks David, I did consider that it may just take considerably longer to pick them up this way and leave us with even heavier bags to shift!

  • its a great thing when the wind has blown them in to little piles dotted around the garden/site. will reduce around half a wheelie bin in to the little bag. time consuming but does a good job.
