I steer clear of recommending equipment to customers, unless they are looking to buy top commercial gear.
So would I but this is an exception.
I will probably go for a Viking Electric. It won't have much work to & it's mainly light shredding rather than chipping. I like that the Viking's blades are easy to replace.
They are chippers, not shredders. I want something that will handle general garden clippings. Plus they are huge & at least 10 times the price. It's only going to be for the waste of one garden
If you look at Bearcat many of them do both. I have an 8hp Bearcat which has a chipping chute and shredding chute.
Shredding chute has replacable screens, so at the moment it has a smaller hole diameter screen, great for more woody materials, swap the screen over for a a larger holed version and it shreds very well - privet, laurel etc.
