RHS Tatton Flower Show 2013

The Peoples’ Choice Award for the Best Small Garden at the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show went to the Precious Resources Garden designed by Paul Hervey-Brookes in association with Bradstone, the Assn of Professional Landscapers APL and four of their accredited members (Kirman Design, Foxcroft Landscapes, Seasonal Landscapes and Vision Landscapes).

The garden was designed to illustrate how water, a precious resource, is used. In a small urban setting, rainwater run-off was channelled into a small pool designed to overflow into a bog garden. The plants used were a mix of edibles and ornamentals with many selected to attract pollinating insects

Bit of a pattern emerging here I see and another award for APL members - A superb garden and well done to every one involved with the design and construction

Just seen these figures posted elsewhere, APL members have constructed a variety of show gardens at Chelsea, Hampton Court, and Tatton RHS flower shows and APL members have received a fantastic total of 6 Golds, 1 Silver Gilt and 6 Silvers

I don't care what any one says that is phenomenal in one year

PS...Just so you are aware I am not a member of the APL but I have the greatest of respect for the organisation, the members (some of whom I have met) and what it achieves in promoting landscaping to the general public

  • Completely agree; it's an excellent achievement by the APL members involved...
