How often is it being used? Looks like a mid end domestic mower to be honest, especially with that small engine thats just branded by manufacturer.
How much use?
Would be wary of engine, especially repairs and spares. What happens when it's broke and then lead time on spares. With Briggs and Honda engines, spares are quick and often there are a bunch of donors out back for quick fixes.
The controls look flimsy and easily breakable.
Perhaps you are better off talking with your local mower mechanics and see if they have any hayters or hondas coming up 2nd hand.
If you're using once or twice daily, I'd think you'll be lucky to get a season out of it.
Understand the position on afforability though and we all have to start somewhere. I used one of these for my first season:

No roller, but a briggs engine plus a rubber skirt for light stripe. Controls and handles a bit flimsy, but was delighted that I got a season and a half out of it. Bought another as a back-up mower and thats still with me.
BTW, I bought the gardencare because my local mower mechanic was selling them and he committed to keeping me going with repairs. What machines is yours offering?
I've got this as a back up 4 wheel mower for the same reasons. Not happy with the quality though, you certainly get what you pay for !
Firstly I will say it is not a pro machine, so it's not built as sturdy as top end machines, however, the engine was strong enough for the size of mower, cables strong, in a years use none of them snapped, no issues with the drive, kept going like a trooper, good blade, cut well in the wet and filled grass bag better than my Hayter 48 pro, stripes good, nothing at all broke on it, good simple mower. The only thing I didn't like on it was the width of the front wheels, they stood out further than the rest of the mower, but saying that when I handed it back to the guys a year later, the wheels were still working and still heading in a straight line. For a cheap roller mower you will not find a better one in my books, any more info needed please let me know.
Many thanks Harry
So for the extra £50 got to be worth getting the Briggs version by the looks of it.
Cheers
