Road signs for hedge cutting

I'm looking into getting some signs for putting up when working along the roadside primarily for when I'm cutting hedges. I've found a couple of suppliers. Does anyone else use them? Does anyone have a link to the regulations of using them? Is there a legal requirement for cones or to inform my local authority? Thanks in advance....

Tom, you may find this post from a while ago useful background reading. The latest Code Of Practice is dated 2013, I believe. It's a starting place :)

  • When working from the public footpath, we use 'men working' signs, with cones and work with one 'cutter', one 'clearer up' who also keeps an eye out for the public.

  • I've thought about getting some "warning" signs made that more importantly have my company name and phone number on.

Haha Phil, you would be warning people to watch out your working in the area?? ;-)
