For my last supervisor position I tried two recruitment agencies and got nowhere!
I used the JobCentre (as in previous years) and had a reasonable number of high quality applicants. In other years I have had over 100 CV's through from the JobCentre of which over 90 were almost immediately discarded! I guess what I am saying is that it can be a bit hit and miss although the JobCentre do not charge for their services.
Hope this helps a bit
Yes, I could see LJN becoming a such a place.
In the meantime try Anders Plus - we have used them. Their candidate Bio's are good and allow fast selection of suitable candidates.

I'm adding this topic to the newsletter Christopher.
Sorry I didn't pick up on it sooner but it's been one of the busier periods of my life recently:-))
I'd most definitely like to create an LJN job board. I've actually tried it on a couple of occasions but I've not found the right software. One that was right would let me change the $ sign.
Feel free to start a thread on here though...I know of several successes with advertising jobs through the forum.
Bali are rolling out a new job recruitment website this year, for members only im afraid so not sure if that apply s ? But could be the key to bridging that gap between finding unskilled workers from the job centre and people that are already working within the industry !
