Disappointment in my insurance company through simply business, I had a claim and been quite un-impressed the way i have been dealt with. months and months go by and nothing about my claim , chased them up numerous amounts of times saying they are waiting waiting for what my insurance to re new. Looking to change insurance companies. any suggestions of companies?

Where's the problem been ? Dealing with Simply Business or the actual Insurance company ?

  • I'm very happy with NFU Mutual. I have my PL insurance, van and trailer insurance, tools insured and my house insurance with them. I've had one claim on my van insurance (not my fault) and one on my house insurance (for storm damage) and both were dealt with extremely quickly with zero hassle. The house claim, I had ok'd and the work done next day. Payment arrived within a few days of NFU receiving the invoice.

I've just cancelled my insurance with them due to large price hike. I've never claimed a thing so am disappointed they couldn't match the quote I had elsewhere.

+1 for NFU, had 1 claim for van accident. All very smooth. Have vehicle and PL insurance with them. Could save a bit going elsewhere, but I feel  they understand the sector and their policies have the right coverage / assumptions rather than things being hidden away in the small print for people to use to wriggle out of claims later on.

  • I was annoyed how they handled the claim even the renewal and just lack of communication and promise of phone calls. Why should I keep chasing them . Now it's up for renewal but don't know how much it will cost and a claim months and months ago looks like forgotten about.
