New spark plugs?

Hi. I have a tanaka multu fit brush cutter. Over the last 3 months i have used 3 spark plugs. When removed they are very dirty/oily. I mix with a stihl one sgot to 5 liters. Am i doing something wrong, why the need for so many spark plugs?

    i would check you ratio needed in the ops book Adrian, not all 2 stroke tools are made to work with the same fuel to oil mix and so this could be causing your problem

    Sounds like the mix on the carb is too rich.

    If you're running the machine at a 50:1 ratio that should be bang on generally.Other than that,I would retune the carb-if the h/l/la screws are available and not capped off!
