New Mower!

Hi guys, looking at a new mower before the start of next years season. Been looking at numerous makes (Toro, Weibang, Honda etc). Wanting something that has a tidy mulching option, able to cut well at low level, and good collection capability even in wet conditions. Will be using for long periods every week so must be a strong engine with durability. The Toro machines impress me but unfortunately don't have local suppliers that stock them. Any help would be greatfully appreciated!

Just out of curiosity, what makes do your local dealers stock?
  • Pretty much everything but! Trouble is, they recommend everything they have (typical salesmen) but would rather recommendations from people that have actually used machines.

In this area we are big on roller mowers, so the only 4 wheeled mowers I own and use that i can recommend are Etesias, superb mowers mate, do you have a favoured size you are after?
      • Thanks for your reply mate. I currently own a Mountfield HW511pd. Bought it last year for a very good price that was too good to be turned down. However it's just a half decent domestic Mower really, has had a hell of a hammering over the last 18 months and now has started to deteriorate rapidly. It's a 51 inch model which I like, but I'd be happy to drop down a size for the right Mower.

I'd go Honda but that's me!
Having said that I'm quite liking the etesia I just bought. That won't be an everyday machine though as I like to use rollers where possible!
    • I just started using my Ebay Etesia, had to put new wheels and cables on it. Good with the autumn grass, but I need to get used to the light front end, always doing wheelies :)

  • I'd never heard of etesia, just looked them up! They look impressive. However could really do with something that could be used all year round for all seasons really.

If your after a wheeled mower then the Etesia will excel in all seasons, especially the wet..
      • Thank you Harry, will do a a little more research. Appreciate your help.

I'm sure the etesia would be great all year as harry says, it's just I like the big heavy pro rollers when it's dry enough. For me you can't beat the finish they give at least in the dry!
