I understand the need to increase taxes, we really did borrow quite a lot of money that needs to be repaid. But to be told catergorically by Cameron that NI won't increase as long as Conservatives are in....then to be told that they meant only Class 1 NI.
Income squeeze is worse since the Nepolionic war, with increasing costs, can consumers accomodate increase in prices or will incomes continue to be squeezed for everyone - especially the self-employed?

I think as a nation we need to realise that if we want decent services we need to pay for them.
Too much moaning goes on imo
in a nut shell I think the problem is there is more people taking from the system than are paying in to it that is for all the benefits
1% is nothing and if it can be used to improve the NHS services, great.
The intention is clear that they intend to close the gap between the self employed and employed.
I wonder what else will come down the line ?

As for the temporary halt on the increase in NI contribution, I think we will be hit with something else to compensate for it if we do not pay that increase.<br/>

This wasn't a rant or a rage or a whine but just curious to know what others feel in our line of work. Let face it we are not necessarily in the same financial league as plumbers, electricians, builders etc!
