Mower oil changing

I tend to put off oil changes as it tends to be a messy old business............. Maybe others already do this and I just haven't moved with the times but picked up an oil suction tool on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sealey-Oil-Suction-Hand-Syringe-Gun-Pump-Gearbox-Fill-Extractor-500ml-AK47-/131271443430?hash=item1e906343e6:g:AxgAAOSwDN1UQUBL   What a difference............tilted the mower slightly in the direction of the filler hole and the old oil was sucked out in less than a minute..... no mess. No oil on the driveway for the missus to moan about!!  The only thing I had to do was to push a smaller diameter piece of pipe inside the one attached to the pump as it was too thick to go to the bottom of the engine.

Only issue with suction ones is they don't get any sludge that may be in the engine (far more likely iif you don't change the oil often enough)

  • I don't make any mess when I do mine. Have 3 to do and the turfmaster is heavy
