Thanks Richard. I had tried the Mountfield website but it was not listed. That model could be a B&Q version. I worked at a mower shop here in Guernsey a few years ago and there use to flymo mowers in for warranty work that had different model numbers.

Thanks everyone. There is a spring on the parts list but I can't see where it goes. No 39 looks like it is by the clutch. Will try and get back there to have a look.

Whilst on this subject, when you're replacing a drive belt, try and get the code number off it and buy direct from a bearing/belt supplier.... a fraction of the price.... this one... AA86 (they very kindly give the code here!)........... is £62+ (a ridiculous price)................ from a specialist, £16.
