I would recommend a BCS power scythe. I have hired one in the past and been very impressed (if I had more call for it I would purchase one). Heaps of power and can handle a slope. I am fairly sure you can remove the scythe attachment so it will fit through 850mm with ease.
In fact the working with is 800mm so no need to remove it. link
If you can get a power scythe in you can get a pedestrian flail mower in which will clear it in one pass.
The Left half of that photo is just brambles, nettles, the odd tree thats been cut down.
Didn't think the power scythe would be to good on 5/6ft high thick brambles? for long grass wouldn't be a problem! Did contemplate a grillo climber or similar?
To many brambles probably for it then.
at some point it will be re landscaped but for now it needs to be cleared so the client can have the builders in to do the extension on the bungalow and to see what he has got!
What makes me nervous is how much stuff there is that I can't see. Literally there are mole holes everywhere, possible old pond? lumps of concrete and small metal pole concreted in the ground to!
Could you scrape it with a micro digger, given possible obstacles ? You'd get one thru with loadsa of room :D !
Its possible, and i did think that! especially considering all that has to be removed to! Although the guys I would contract to do the digger works would live everything to be cut to some extent first! as it makes their life easier apparently
Is access physically restricted by buildings etc rather than fences/gates?
If the later, could they be removed and later replaced or access gained for a ride-on brush cutter via a nieghbour ?
Could always get a furniture dolly and take it in on its edge (with no fuel etc in it;) - Semi-joking....
Other than that, I could only see a pedestrian flail dealing with that type of terrain.
