Ladders

What step ladders do you guys find work well and are durable for hedge cutting? Obviously the henchman tripod ones are the best, but are not always convinent with the width to stand up between walls and hedges etc. Thanks

  • I use little giant pro series ladders. Heavy but solid.

On my second little giant. The new one has wheels on it htat make moving around a hell of a lot easier. I also have a 7 metre 3 in 1 ladder for gutters/virginia creeper on walls etc. and a small werner step ladder for short hedges

  • Hi Oliver,

I use the Hedgemaster Classic for my hedge cutting but I know others just use a normal extension ladder with stabiliser bar at the bottom and a plank tied/screwed to the top that rests against the hedge.

    Cheers

  • Cheers guys, will look into them.
  • I bought a pair of Hailo ladders last year and have been really happy with them thus far.

I also work with Hailo ladders, having a curved stabilisation bar makes them brilliant for working in uneven ground...

Hi Dan, I work with the Hailo 2x9 + 1x8 triple combi ladder, it's great for most size hedges etc, tall enough to reach the gutters on a 2 storey house, and not to heavy, they also do a 3 x 12 rung version, but was far to heavy to work with happily..
