Thanks Harry, it does look the best option atm
I may well get it as its an engine technology that has been proved over many years. As a real emergency strimmer if the 2 Stihl one break at the same time I have a 18 year old Honda 4 stroke model. It's still starts first or second pull even now and it's hardly been used in 5 years and not serviced in 10 years I should think!
Not cheap but neither is any decent gear. It's worth a look
I use 2 KM 94's for all my hedge trimming/strimming and polesawing. Only issues I have are with the new body of them, the black top (that used to be a HT lead) the screw has very weak threads that are easy to crush, but if your not as ham fisted as I am it will be no problem.
Very good on fuel and unless you are doing intensive brush cutting work (although I've still done all day bramble clearance with them) you really dont need any more power.
Thanks for the heads up Seth, I'm heavy handed so good to know!
Has anyone had problems with using the extension and it bending after time?
Had 2 x 90's for strimming & hedging - they did most of the grunt work and were fantastic for about 3 years (until one of my staff didn't add oil to the 4-mix and a piece of the piston shot through the orange plastic outer cover !!)
