Possibly, I was looking at the pink flowers in the second pic but they're actually not the same plant. Damn small screen!
If the flowers are like bunches of grapes hanging down then leycesteria. Lovely plant. :-)

Himalayan balsam? Still not ideal to have but less of a problem.

Not Jap Knotweed or Himalayan Balsam. I agree with the others that have said Leycesteria Formosa. I have a number of clients with specimens of these. Really pretty when in flower.
