I use Quickbooks online as its easy and means I can add work to invoices while out. Others use Jobber
Quickbooks looks look, how do you find it? i like the idea it syncs to your bank.
I also use Quickbooks online as its easy and simple and can use it on the go on the app invoiving estimates and expences all tracked in only place its great
Phil, are you able to print the invoices from the app? if you have a wireless printer

I started using Jobber last year and I wouldn't be without it. It ties all your scheduling, quotes and invoices up and has reminders for late jobs, payments, quote follow ups etc. It does lots more too. Take a look on their website. I think you may still get a discount for being a LJN member but don't quote me on that.
Do you have a link darren? i can only find the US one?
I also use jobber and am a big fan of it!
Daniel have a look at Scheduling apps/software thread as jobber is talked about in some detail.
Keep one eye on what you need now and the other on where you plan to be....
Free software has it's limit's and you do not want to be tied in if you plan on growing.
Some free/basic invoicing packages do have upgrade paths to more featured versions.
So, look at what you need;
- a basic peice of software to generate an invoice; ie invoice2go, ProjectQuote, QBFree, Xero basic etc..
- a more comprehensive Accounts software that will help maintain your financial position and produce management accounts, reporting, cashflow, trial year end accounts for HMRC (with/without Accountants help); ie Sage, QB, Xero etc
- an integrated package that combines book keeping, accounts, scheduling, customer database/crm etc; ie Jobber, QX, SAP etc
The cost (and features) rise depending on your requirements...
Free is NOT always best for a business ...sometimes it's best to pay for a (more) premium product. You often get better support, features, people to talk to, peer to peer help etc
