  • Hi Chris, I have the Husqvarna 570BTS backpack blower. Only purchased it recently but very happy with it so far. I don't have any experience with any of their other tools as yet, hopefully some others on here can help you.

Hi Chris, can't help with the strimmer and hedge trimmer specifically but have always had Husky chainsaws. One of them was my dad's, it's about 30 years old with plenty of use (he was an apple farmer) and still going strong but semi retired now as a backup. Also have a 435 about 18 months old and a really good machine. I personally think they're a great brand.

Not what you are asking but the only bit of Husky kit I have is the safety helmet/ear defenders and visor. It is by far the best safety helmet I've had and if the mechanical equipment is anything like that .......

bought the low vibration husky strimmer /brushcutter six months ago

      http://www.husqvarna.com/uk/products/brushcutters/525rjx/966777101/

i would suggest its not as good as it looks on paper but i still find it better than the equiv sthil and at almost half the price, but at half the price you dont get the same finish -- it feels cheaper

its vibration levels i particularly debate are as good as they states particularly on low revs -- but its better in that respect to low mid level sthil ive used -

TBH at almost half the price for equiv power level i find it very suitable for light to mid work -- 1 hr jobs and such and then always use the shtil FS400 for the bigger jobs

Efficient and easy to use brushcutter with J handle that allows you to use both trimmer line and grass blade. Has the lowest vibration rates in its c…
  • All my tools are husqvarna. Strimmer and backpack blower bought 4 years ago when I started and are still going strong. Got through a couple of mid-range hedgecutters but have just upgraded to their top battery cutter and am very impressed with it.
  • I have a husqi mulch mower hedge trimmer and strimmer. They have all been excellent reliable and easy to service. I bought them because the dealer is in my town which I think is more important than brand. Would not hesitate to buy them again if it was needed.

    Hi Chris

I have always used the loop handle Husqvarna strimmer, always chosen the rjx version for low vibe. They are the dogs bollocks as far as I am concerned, good power, good balance, weight etc. Bought my first one 2002 second hand. One issue I have had with them recently is the low vibe padded handle! It shows it on all websites as having the padded handle but it wont arrive with one. I have bought two in the last two years and only after contact with Husqvarna and complaining was I sent the handles. So be careful on that point if you get one.

I have a husky single sided which is good, solid and consistent performer, all day today infact. I preferred the older design but now warming to the new look. I use stihl double sided. My mate uses a husky double sided and loves it.

What's the weight like on the hedge cutters, I've got a stihl double sided an it's a right heavy bugger.

The balance is different because of the way it's held. Prob very little weight difference. If you doing a tight cut on leylandii or very neat privets etc they very good.

Cheers for all the feed back guys
