There are some good offerings for medical policies, income / ASU protection etc via the FSB at a reasonable cost Vs benefits when compared with the more 'commercially available' policies.
As self employed, or even the boss of a small business (ltd or not), we are potentially the key person without which the business will fold.
In some ways protecting yourself or having access to medical treatment options to supplement the NHS is, in my view, more important than a shiney van or the latest/greatest mower and should be included when working out your real costs.
