Handheld blower choice?

Looking for some advice from the forum. Currently have a Makita and an Echo backpack blower, but my handheld is a cheap but not so cheerful Ryobi. The vibrations leave my hand with the shakes, so stopped using it. What would be your choice for a good and low vib handheld blower. Thanks,Jeff

      • Cheers David, but the one thing you get used too in Northern Ireland is postage surcharges, I have a couple of Stihl dealers within short drive. I will see what they can offer me.

£215 from Radmore and Tucker, although unsure of any potential NI charges

I use Stihl BG86 for most day to day work and love it. Powerful for non-backpack blower, Light, low vibes, starts every time and takes a beating in the back of the van! Before I got it I was deliberating on a more powerful back back blower but happy with my choice as I only need it for short time each use and have sorted it compared to putting on the back back!
    • you're right there.........you can chuck them in the back of the van with everything piled on top of them.......... indestructible.... well nearly.  I've never used a backpack blower but I'd  imagine it being difficult to use of you're left handed?

  • Another vote for the bg86, I've had the smaller stihl one (poor) and used a tanaka one a bit (awful) depends what for though.. if it's just for grass clippings on a path, or a bit of loose soil after weeding anything would do.
