Andy, really a no-brainer. It's a simple form to fill in, sorts out carrying green waste (but not landscaping/hard waste), it makes your clients aware you're are legit and importantly - it's free.

Upper Tier covers more and was £150 for 3 yrs

EA etc are getting hot now with the increase in fly tipping....Around the South East it is not unusual to see/hear of road checks.

It's free for greem waste and gives your customers the knowledge that you will dispose of it correctly and if you get pulled for a random inspection your fully covered for green waste.
  • A definite. We maintain a large local company who insist that anything going off site is covered by a Waste Carriers licence, including green waste. Would be silly to miss out on work for such a simple thing, as one of my tree contractors did this year.
