Good communications....

For any newbies starting up companies I'd just like to say one of the most important parts of running your companies, getting work and keeping it, is "good communications", keep clients in the loop...... Good luck....

  • So true Harry the No 1 most important thing, customers will understand if your to busy just have to be open with them.
    If your good they will wait for your services
  • I agree with good communications plus reliability which I would put first. I often say to my customers or prospective customers that I am booked at least 8 weeks ahead with regular customers and I can squeeze them in as one off jobs. They can be disappointed that I can't do it 'tomorrow' but at least they know where they are.

      Some clients don't want to wait at all I find. Ring for a quote and expect me to come over straight away. Accept the price and then say that do they have time to go shopping whilst you do it (i.e. immediatly)!
