first I have herd of it and supposedly had 2 years to prepare
I dare say if you pass someone's name and number on without asking first you might be in trouble, if you use pen and paper they cannot hack your computer for it (or phone)
absolutely no idea, but isnt it more focused on if you are handling/ storing account details/payment info and other personal information that is sensitive ?
If you invoice people and dont handle their payment info or other info i dont think its an issue ?
Personally im all for it - im fed up with websites and companies storing and using 'marketing' info --
Ive also had several horticultural companies recently take payment information over the phone and when 7 days later i call to buy something else, turns out they still have my banking information !
I worked in such situation and we always destroyed such info at the end of the day, i see offices with bank details sat on desks scribbled on scraps of paper and thats not acceptable.
