Free mobile credit/debit card reader

Just thought I would let you know that you can currently get a free mobile card reader from iZettle when you sign up. I'm a bit annoyed that I can't get one as I signed up years ago, but never used it.

So it's for new accounts only: Free mobile card reader

Grab em while you can!

    thanks for the info

  • Thought I would update this. I occasionally build websites for people, and as this is a separate business I was allowed to sign up as a new account for that business, and so I received my free card reader after all.

    The process is:

    • Sign up and register a bank account for your funds to go to.
    • Verify the account by putting £1 into the iZettle account with a personal ref (don't forget the ref, I had to do it twice).
    • For me, the account was verified the next day and the card reader dispatched by 24h DHL from Sweden.
    • In a couple of days you get the £1 back into your account, and you are set to take card payments.

First impressions are that it's pretty cool, and as a side bonus, you can use it to get cash advances from a credit card at purchase rates.
