He'd attended a dealer's seminar at Saltex where they'd given him a big spiel about the new model - all metal deck (no placcy bits) that has been aerodynamically designed with better collection in mind. Apparently the deck is tilted forward slightly on lower cut heights to improve air flow. I know wet collection is a frequent gripe on the current model range. My 41 is lovely in the dry for my dinky little lawns, but in the wet it is pretty appalling. Would be interested to see if anyone else has seen or heard about this new design ? He said presently it's only the 41 that has been redesigned, but there are plans to do the 48 and 56 later on.

GroundsCare Products for landscape maintenance machineryhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/forum/topics/groundscare-products-for-landscape-maintenance-machinery2016-04-25T07:45:42.000Z2016-04-25T07:45:42.000ZPaul Erringtonhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profil/PaulErrington

GroundsCare Products in the UK, supplying walk behind tractor driven landscape maintenance machinery, ZipLevel survey instrument and RotoCleanse pressure washer.

Turf Teq Rough Cut Mowerhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/forum/topics/turf-teq-rough-cut-mower2016-04-18T08:42:47.000Z2016-04-18T08:42:47.000ZPaul Erringtonhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profil/PaulErrington

A rough cut mower, supplied by GroundsCare Products in the UK, for clearing under brush, saplings and hedgerows.

Mowing around trees and under fence lines.

Clearing paths and trails. 26" cutting width, 28" wide deck.

Deck pivots 12" to the left to keep operator's hand clear of hedge

Roller mower reviewhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/forum/topics/roller-mower-review2016-03-16T13:50:57.000Z2016-03-16T13:50:57.000ZNathan millwardhttps://landscapejuicenetwork.com/profil/Nathanmillward
Hi guys, I'm looking into a new roller mower and seen the Cobra RM46SPC Self Propelled Rear Roller Lawnmower.Has any body used this mower or got any feedback please?
"Despite efforts to revive the man, who was in his 60s, after he was pulled from beneath the mower he was declared dead at the scene in Wattisham."

Course: BBC

This is the second fatality in just over a month. The first was a spray operative who died when the vehicle he was on rolled into a lake on Celtic Manor golf course.

This is perhaps a timely reminder for anyone operating near water (or just on steep banks) to re-assess any risks.

I think - rather than just writing a risk assessment and talking operatives through it - I'd be inclined to walk around all hazards with anyone who is either going to be operating a ride-on - and of course, just as importantly, pedestrian - mowers and discuss the nature of the risk, how the risk changes when the surrounding banks are damp and how what the best course of action to take if a mower appears to be about to enter the water.

I'd also consider what emergency action an operator's buddy should take should an accident occur.

Initially aimed at US home-owners, thus domestic machines it provides a solution for those who suffer for a lack of space, the feature allows the mower to be stored vertically by using the latest generation of B&S Engines.

If was interesting to compare build qualities & models - some models were "plasticky" and I would class as mid-high end domestic machines that would not cut (excuse the pun) it for commercial day in, day out use.

However, what caught my eye were the engine options on the Toro's - offering B&S GTS engines or Honda Engines.

Now if Hayter swapped to Honda Engines, a lot of people would be happy(ier) ?

I really expect to see the Hayter brand/name swallowed up, perhaps just existing as a badge on a US made Toro. They already own LawnBoy & Exmark......

p.s love that B&S need to name their engines GTS - if you know, you'll understand :P

But what we have decided to do is to support the homelessness charity Shelter by giving one of our MD Mini Ride-on tractors as the prize in an on-line auction to help them raise funds.
So why not place your bid now.

All you need do is go to our Facebook page, ‘like’ us and then place your bid. Should you be successful we’ll tell you by phone or e-mail on Wednesday 19 December, the day the auction closes, and arrange for the ride-on to be delivered before Christmas.

So you could secure a really good bargain and help this most worthwhile charity at the same time.
