Favourite hand tool manufacturer

Hi all

I need to replace a lost dutch hoe and some worn out loppers.

My old hoe was a wooden handled spear and jackson, not stainless steel and the loppers unbranded from a garden centre.

Do you rate stainless steel hoes? I quite enjoyed sharpening my old one and know stainless is a lot harder to sharpen.

For loppers I'm looking at Wolf or Bahco, what do you think?

Cheers

  • Hoes are a waste of time when you're used to one of these:

Sharp tools I love Bahco, digging tools Fiskars.

  • I mostly use wolf hand tools esp for weeding as can carry alot of different tools without taking up much space, just a few handles and then swap the tool heads round, when first saw the wolf system didnt think they would be up to much but they have been excellent, some of the heads like the push pull weeder are excellent,
for loppers I would go Bahco every day or corona both are expensive but you get what you pay for,

  • I can't vouch for the wolf multi tools but I never buy any other loppers. We use the extendable handle bypass loppers and they're great.
  • After recommends, I too bought the Wolf multi-system, no complaints good quality gear.
