    Depends on lots of factors, most importantly how hard the blades are working, i.e. How long and wet the grass is. The older versions had the early Briggs Vanguard 14-18hp engines and at full tilt these would consume up to 5 litres an hour. Later models are more economical and in current dry conditions you could ease throttle back and get down closer to 3 litres per hour. This would be similar for most large petrol powered ride ons.
