Have you tried PSD Groundcare (where we get our Eliet spares from) ?
We changed our standard screen within weeks of buying an Eliet Major a good while ago. The process was just too slow.
Having had a quick look at what a Eliet major screen looks like-

I'd say two things.
1. If you needed a new one any fabrication shop could make you one for less than half the price!
2. If you want it finer, the easiest thing to do would be to affix some weld mesh over it. Simples.
My consultancy bill is in the post ;-)
That is not screen in question for an Eliet Major. I can't see welded mesh over open grate would not last given the output feed force. We've seen our other grate get deformed.
This is the one for wood/dry feed (no consultancy fee required from me ;):
I've added a copy of our operator & parts manual to your post in case you need it.....
Might be worth a call around some Hire shops that have had them or disposed of them....
Busy Bee when you say local ...?
