Hello, I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
I'm looking at dipping my toe into the battery powered tool market. There are many discussions on here about the pros and cons of this so I'm not trying to start another one of those. I really just want to ask those who already use battery powered equipment what they think of the Ego range. I'm thinking of just getting the CS1400E chainsaw to start. It's is not to replace my current chainsaw, but just to use to get a feel for battery powered equipment over this winter.
If I like what I see I may get a few more pieces for the new season so it would be nice to start off with a range that I can expand rather than start with Ego but then have to change to another brand if I want more. Equally, I don't want to outlay lots and lots of money now on anything really top of the range. To my inexperienced eye the Ego range seemed to fit that bill, but I would love to hear what others think, even if just to tell me i'm completely wrong!

I like the idea mostly for the quietness factor as all my work is in built up residential areas and I start no later than 8 each morning, light permitting. So i'm thinking it would be nice to have some kit I could use for the first hour or so each day without waking people up. Then as the technology progresses I can think about maybe introducing more machines.
If anyone has a particular favourite brand or individual machine they use or have used i'd still be very interested to hear.

Thanks for the heads up, I would not have known that otherwise. EGO seem to be low on stock in many places at the moment, hopefully only a temporary issue. Thanks again
