Ear defenders for round brimmed hat.

Can anyone advise me on a good comfortable pair of ear defenders I can wear with in conjunction with a round brimmed hat? Have tried ear plugs etc but noise muffling is not good enough with them, any ideas? As someone who has suffered with skin cancer from being brought up in Australia I know to well the conciquenses of sun damage so not wearing a round brimmed hat is not an option On a sunny day, any ideas??? Thank you in advance..

You can buy neckband ear defenders (same as normal defenders, but the the retaining band comes out of the side of the defender rather than the top) - from some good industrial supplies shops.

    eg http://www.amazon.co.uk/PELTOR-Hearing-Protector-Optime-Neckband/dp...

Funny, as a Pommie I often wear an Aussie wide brimmed hat, esp when raining ...

Do you do the reverse :D ?

The reverse Gary? Thank you for link, exactly what I was thinking that must be available but no idea what to search etc, wide brimmed hats are super in the rain also, can make the difference between you going home feeling like a drowned rat or staying gardening Feeling rather pleasant as you don't have rain beating against your face... ;-)
