Bannerman BA4, often come up on ebay. Try and get one with both hollow and fracture tine reels. Tough as anything and will last a long time.

    • Bloody hard work to use though :-)

  • Hi there,

I recently bought the Husqvarna Ar19. basic enough machine that core aerates to 7cm. Does not smear the cores like the Ryan can and is excellent on corners . It has removeable weights and foldable handles which make transporting bareable.Working width 50cm, honda enngine GX 160,so far I am very happy with it so far on both soft and hard ground.but you know you have done a days work with it,,  I cant really see what can go to badly wrong with it either. It is considerably cheaper than say a Ryan or a Billygoat which were the other options here in Belgium where I live(under the €5000 catergrophy). There is also the weibang wb457ab, which also impresed  budget wise, but its not available here in the Benelux countries. In my situation it was the right choice/price as I would have less than 20 clients at the moment who look for that service. Hope this helps and good luck!!
