Hi Dorar
It all depends on what output you need to generate to show your Clients!
If it's 2D working drawings and planting plans then you are going to need some sort of FREE vector drawing package that ideally produces drg. / dxf. file output i.e. AutoCAD, DoubleCAD, ProgeCAD or DraftSight.
If it's 3D Visualisation Drawings that you want to produce then it's FREE Google SketchUp that you need. This will also enable you to make animations, "renders" and photo montages at a later date.
The normal route for learning 2D CAD is attending a City & Guilds night class over a year. This is what I did!
The normal route to learning SketchUp is studying on-line tutorials and videos etc. This is what I did!
Combining an AutoCAD clone with SketchUp is the "workflow" you are going to need to adopt if you want to produce accurate, information rich drawings straight from the survey stage.
I can teach you to use SketchUp and the basics you will need in 2D CAD either on-line (via screen sharing/VOIP) for an introductory rate of £15 per hour or in person at your premises (time and expenses charged). Over 2 days (16 hours) I could teach you the basics of CAD and SketchUp so that you would be armed with enough information to practice your own tailored Garden Design digital work-flow. This outlay would easily off-set fees/time commitment you would be charged to commission a Landscape Architect and / or study for C&G AutoCAD!
As an other alternative, I could do your design work for you at a fraction of the cost a Landscape Architect would charge you. You could send me your survey notes, photographs and "scribbled" designs etc. and I could design and draught the drawings in CAD. As I have been trained by Landscape Architects myself, I am quite confident that for domestic gardens I can produce designs of equal quality.
