    Apart from old fashioned methods of scaring the away, you have to address the cause which you've likely identified. It's not a one time/one season solution to treat them due to their life-cycle. Lift a patch of turf and you should able to identify the exact culprit (as they need different solutions).

    The speak to your chosen supplier for possible solutions (whether chemical or biological), application schedules and costs.
