the biggest ones out there would be Pellenc! Used by someone on here (Harry?)
I have tried some Stihl stuff. Not for me currently buy was pleasant to use
Ive just bought a makita hedge trimmer and was really impressed, runs on my existing bank of batteries for my other makita power tools (drills, saws etc). will be looking at adding strimmer and blower in futeure and adding more batteries.
i Bought the Stihl Hedge Trimmer a couple of months back, Love it!!
Wouldn't use it to do heavy duty stuff but for Box hedging and giving stuff a light trim it is excellent.
I can get approximately a weeks work out of the battery, as i say its not in constant use but very handy tool. Battery is charged in roughly 20 minutes.
There are some Stihl Dealer special offers on at the moment on some of their battery powered gear....
PS worth buying a good inverter for in-van charge ups (I do that for my Dewalt gear)
That's what powers all our non standard mods on the van. Lights, beacons, inverter
From earlier this year:
Battery operated tools. Pellenc vs Stihl
Hi Neil,
how does the strimmer compare to a petrol? will it get through more than just grass at all?
cheers
I bought a Bosch 48 cm battery powered, 18 v I think. Bought as back up when my Echo was being Serviced. I was surprised at how good it is, and makes sense to have one for smaller jobs.
