    Thanks all for your replies. Maybe with my suspicions that it may have been a honeysuckle and looked like an evergreen, it may have been wise to google 'evergreen honeysuckle'!
    • Lol, life isn't always so simple!

      For what it's worth this is a plant I hate. It grows like mad, the client asks you to cut it back, it then doesn't flower, but grows again.

      The one I took out has been replaced with a clematis Montana as a slower-growing alternatve. Says it all!
