I would try the weibang first, I used a brand new one 2 years ago and absolutley hated the machine. Found it was far too heavy for my liking and rest of team was the same. We all preferred the hayter 56. I know there are people on here that love the weibang and its all down to personal preference. Think the weibang comes with 3 years commercial warranty as well so that may sway you towards it. By the way its the weibang legacy pro 56 i used.
The weigbang legacy pro 56 is heavy, but it's fast and picks up well in wet. Very good finish. Has shaved a good 60-90mins off our full days, so can fit in more.
Far better than our old wide body 56's or Honda Kaas, or Etesia 53 duocut. Best mower in our fleet.
Agree re weigbang, needs to be a good size, 200sqm+. We've just bought a Cobra 48 roller for the smaller lawns - very lightweight and manoeuvrable at 30kg.
If this is the Cobra Roller Pro range, it's the same as the Danarm/KAAZ range (we use the 48's & 53's).
We've found the Danarm/KAAZ's are often cheaper/more discountable. Our older ones have Kawasaki engines, the new one has different engine - cant remember what it is !
No its the cheaper domestic cobra, £400 with roller. We don't have many smaller lawns for mowing so should last at least 2 seasons.
Hi Russell - Our main roller mowers for some time now have been the Honda HRD 536 and as much as I have tried to justify moving away from these machines recently I'm still not convinced I'd be that much better off with something else.
They are a 21" cut and we use them on both very small and very large areas of grass. Whilst sometimes they do seem a bit much on the very small lawns they are lighter than the Weibang Pro 48 and you're getting that slightly wider cut for the bigger stuff.I like the handle arrangement and the mechanism for engaging the blades. It makes the mower comfortable to use all day.
I had a Weibang Pro 4 wheeler version until it was recently stolen and I couldn't get on with the handles.They seemed awkward,like you didn't really know where to put your hands. Another strong point on the Honda is that you get a quality grass box which is sturdy and easy to empty. The Weibang collector is very similar to the Kaaz/Cobra/Lawnflite bag in that it's not very rigid and can be troublesome to empty when full.
The Honda isn't brilliant in the wet but it's ok.If you're mowing frequently and keep the blades sharp there's no major problem but if you really need something that will cleanly manage 2-3 weeks growth in the pouring rain then I feel the Weibang is superior.
The Honda isn't sold as a pro spec mower but it is more than up to the job especially if you're on your own. They are very solid and of course the engines will outlast all the other parts. I ran my first one for the best part of 10 years,it had a new gear box once and a roller but that was a machine that was used by many different people over the years.
