china equipment

Having been a gardner for 21 years and used all makes of gardening equipment a year a go i decided to invest in 2 weibang lawn mowers and they are the best mowers i have ever had , working in both dry and wet weather with excellent bag filling and very good speed and a large deck. I then purchased a hornet chipper (4inch) which is fantastic and eats through brash saving me money , time and stress in trying to get rid of my waste. So all you purist out their please do not think that all the equipment that comes from china is rubbish.

I'm not sure what the 'purist' tag is trying to imply but if you do a site search, Wiebang mowers have been discussed many times on LJN.

Looking at current pricing, they seem on par with Hayter prices ?

Importanty, if it works for you and you have local support then excellent  win - win situation.

  • I'm sure I read somewhere that Weibeng mowers are basically older model Honda mowers made under license, like the kubota, Danarm etc.

    • The 22" pro Weibang isn't a copy. It does look good on paper, at £1200 inc. VAT, with a three-year commercial warranty.

It's a heavy beast, nearly 70 kilos, and I don't know how the Kawasaki engines are compared to Honda. As already mentioned, they do need to be wider distributed, and no local dealer is a complete no for me.
