Carrying a knife..

Just been given a nice little leatherman C33 knife for christmas..

My only slight concern is that its got a locking blade..

Is being a gardener as your profession a good enough reason to be carrying a knife if you were ever asked to turn out your pockets??

Anyone else carry a pocket knife for everyday use?

  • My leatherman surge goes everywhere I go, always in it sheath on my belt and must get used at least once a day.

I've carried a knife almost daily for the last 18 years. My dad gave me my first one when I was young. I grew up on a farm so it is the normal. I have one with me nearly all the time apart from out for meals etc.

I never have mine out of my pocket, in fact every member of my family and friends are shocked if for any reason I don't have my knife with me

with the leatherman though I have not had any issue at all and a mate of mine who is an officer said providing im not out in pubs etc and given my day job + weekend and hobby work I do it is classed as a tool so if stopped for any reason there should be no issue because 90% of my life is doing one form of work where it would be used so I have reasonable cause for carry.

As long as you don't take it to the bank to make withdrawls with you should be fine
