i brought a £35 one a couple of years back, its been pretty good, but I've not had total success with every thing Ive needed to clean, what liquid did you use, and how long were the carb bits in?
David,
I used warm tap water and the model I have has a water heater on it which keeps the liquid at 65 deg C. I put a few drops of fairy liquid in and left it in for the longest time possible which is 8 minutes. I do have some "sea clean" additive that has all natural ingredients (inc seaweed hence the name) but I was saving it in case fairy didn't work and so I have not tried it yet.
I think it pays to spend a bit more than the entry level models, I read a lot of good and bad reviews regarding the cheap JPL models.

We use an ultrasonic cleaner for carbs and they get the job done quick and properly! A good investment :)
Let us know if the seaweed makes any difference to the final clean or if Fairy is just as good!
