Britain to be hit by entirely typical weather

TEMPERATURES in the UK are going to fall sharply over the coming weeks because that is what happens at this time of year, it has been claimed.

Meteorologists believe that winter, a spell of short, cold days commonly defined as a season, will be more or less exactly what you would expect

This is exactly what I have been ranting about the last couple of days. Met office bigging it up - uuuhhh just normal innit
  • I'm getting to be a grumpy old git! I too have been swamped by people telling me to 'wrap up next week it's going to be cold'. It's just weather, it's November. Anyway the days get longer in 4 1/2 weeks, so winter's nearly over!

  • But David, what are you going to do when the snow comes?

well said Mick, Alexandra, Colin, Phil & David

a guy i've done some work for is in the gambling business - his company used to have a department that would calculate the odds of anything that someone might bet on - so they did weather - they worked out that if you said 'tomorrows weather will be the same as today', then you would have been right slightly more often than the met office
