Book recommendation for identifying UK trees

Obviously there are plenty of book out there, but can anyone recommend a good book for 1) identifying UK trees 2) learning about the anatomy and best practice for these trees? Ideally simple (not too technical) but with plenty of info and diagrams.

I am looking for a friend who is needing to learn all this from scratch for her new job, but having learnt it from so many different sources, I couldn't begin to say which book to read.

    There's a Tree ID app thats ok and is free if out and about with your phone..

    I have a few books on trees but this is one of my favourites..Illustrated Trees of Britain and Northern Europe.  Great illustrations and useful categorisation of trees.
