I buy all my stuff from Arco

There is a store local to me and they do great deals in store and i have a trade card so get decent discount on everything I buy

These days I tend to buy mostly gore tex coats as they are nice and light / waterproof.

For me at least, working outside in all weathers it's worth spending a few extra pounds to be comfortable...

  • I needed a waterproof urgently after my old one gave in.

Screwfix had a hyena one in which is fantastic!! £45 iirc

This is where foresight comes in buddy, I always buy my waterproofs during the summer because you get some awesome deals, I brought a Rab waterproof jacket for £70.00 midsummer, that same jacket is now going for £240.00, big savings buying out of season, the Stihl jackets are ok but nothing special, tbh what ever you wear to a point your going to get wet as anything with a hole in it will let in water ie wrist holes and neck hole, goretex is defo the way to go for trying to keep as dry as possible...:-)

I had a few days of hedge cutting the other month where I new it would be solid rain. I purchased a Harki Smock in the end. Really good jacket, but doesn't have a hood, so if your not wearing a helmet you'll get a wet face ;)
    • I'm going down this route thank you
